Trudy Giasi is currently a science coordinator for Columbus City Schools. She has experience in K-12 STEM education as well as the arts. She taught 8th grade science at Indianola Math, Science, and Technology MS and Hilltonia MS in the Columbus City Schools district. At both schools, she developed Science/STEM clubs and helped to increase student achievement in science. Trudy is also pursuing her Ph.D. in STEM Education at The Ohio State University and supervises M.Ed. science student teachers. In addition, she serves on several advisory committees including: NSTA Urban Advisory Committee, ODE Science Content Advisory Committee related to the new state assessments for science, ODE Standards Alignment Writing Team related to NGSS, COSI Educator Advisory Board, and the Franklin County Metro Parks Educational Advisory Board. Trudy is a passionate educator and STEM advocate that works with teachers and districts across the state to promote and increase science and STEM education initiatives.
