Burnout and Self Care Strategies in the Workplace LIMITED
Thursday June 26, 2025 1:55pm - 2:45pm CDT
The training on self-care and burnout in the workplace emphasizes the importance of preventing burnout and maintaining well-being. Burnout, as defined by the WHO, is a state of chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed, leading to emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced performance. Causes include excessive workload, lack of control, and poor work-life balance. The effects of burnout are significant: for employees, it results in mental and physical health issues and decreased job satisfaction, while organizations face reduced productivity, high turnover, and increased healthcare costs. The training will also explore strategies and successful examples of programs aimed at reducing burnout, highlighting effective approaches for improving employee well-being and organizational health.
